While meandering through the Soolip Bridal Show at Vibiana, Allie and I literally bumped into Charlotte and her sister as they were browsing the booths. We were immediately impressed by their sense of style and we all started talking. After a few minutes, Charlotte told us she was getting married at Marvimon, and that she didn’t have a photographer… HELLO!
Little did Allie and I know how lucky we were. Charlotte and Steve are seriously the two nicest human beings alive on the planet today. Put it this way: when I first talked to Steve on the phone about their wedding, we ended up talking for over an hour about surfing, traveling, the environment, etc. I think we forgot to talk about the wedding.
They wanted their engagement pictures to be artisitic, un-traditional and indicative of their surfing/laid-back lifestyle; a true portrait of who they are. They are both artists—he is a painter and sculptor: Redneck Memoirs , she designs shoes for Cynthia Vincent. So Allie and I packed up the Woody, and headed south to Hermosa Beach. (We don’t really have a Woody – we have a Volvo)
I think you can tell from the engagement pictures – that we had a blast! Stay tuned for their wedding.

Steve Nasker - Thanks so much to the two of you for convincing us the importance of the engagement shots!!! It made a world of difference when you showed up for the wedding and we both knew you were going to take great photos all night long!
