Vibiana Wedding Photography and Union Station – Part II { SUSAN + OMID }

Oh, yes – Sushi Roku. If you recall, their first date was at Sushi Roku in Pasadena. So, after one year of dating, Omid took Susan back to Sushi Roku – this time it was all business. With a little help from the sushi chef, he officially proposed to her. As they wined and dined, the chef brought them out a dessert as a congratulatory gesture. They devoured the dessert – which unbeknownst to them, contained pistachios. UH-OH! Susan is allergic to pistachios, and in a matter of seconds, the celebration turned into emergency and the night ended in the ER. According to Omid, "Since the first time I proposed ended up being a disaster, I decided to propose again at a Persian restaurant called Caspian. The place was packed with a few hundred people, a band playing Persian music and people dancing. I had the singer stop the music, call her up on the dance floor in front of everyone while I was in "the bathroom". When she finally was on the dance floor, I ran up from behind her and dropped a leg in front of her and everyone and asked her to marry me. She was so embarrassed!" When Omid broke the news to Susan's mom and dad, it took a good three months of convincing mom that Omid was worthy of her daughter. After three months she finally warmed up, and they had a small engagement of close family members only, and she finally put on the ring. YEAH! Susan and Omid – we love you guys!
