THE PARKER PALM SPRINGS

4200 E Palm Canyon Drive,
Palm Springs, CA 92264

A Parker Palm Springs wedding is always special because the resort is one of the most unique wedding venues in California. In the 1950’s, the site that is now home to the Parker Palm Springs was the site of the first Holiday Inn in California. How’s that for trivia? Since that time is has been owned by Gene Autry, then Rose Narva who partnered with Givenchy and called it the Givenchy Hotel & Spa. Soon after Merv Griffin bought it and changed the name to Merv Griffin’s Resort Hotel. It was a celebrity favorite. At that time, the biggest claim to fame was this was the hotel where Robert Downey Jr., was arrested for drugs. The year? 2000. (I wonder if this was the inspiration for the famous ‘DRUGS’ sign in the lobby?) Shortly after Jack Parker bought the property and renovated it, turning it into what we now know as one of Southern California’s most popular hotels, especially for weddings. This Parker Palm Springs wedding was designed and planned by our friend Joey and his team at Artisan Events. Joey also designed the florals and the retro-inspired decor, which is amazing. Just look at the reception space and the bride and groom’s chairs! And her dress! Wow! Designed by Reem Acra, her wedding gown was breathtaking. Finally, their Milk Bar cake was flown in from NYC.
