Updated July 12, 2019. This MacArthur wedding was an epic Persian celebration. Planned by Neda Davari from BASH Inc., the modern Persian ceremony took place in the Grand Ballroom. The reception was held in the capacious Terrace Room. The couple dressed at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel which is where we photographed our couple’s getting ready, first look and bridal party shots. Perhaps our favorite photos from their wedding are from the rose petal dance. In a traditional Persian wedding, this is the last rite of the evening. All of the guests surround the couple and shower them over and over with rose petals. Every wedding should do this!!
Formerly known as the Legendary Park Plaza Hotel, the MacArthur was built in 1925 as an Elks Lodge, and later transformed into a luxury hotel, The MacArthur has been used in a variety of motion pictures, television series and commercials (most recently, Gangster Squad with Sean Penn.) There is so much history and significant architecture that has been designated by the City of Los Angeles as a Historic-Cultural Monument. What a place to get married! It may be one of the most unique venues in Los Angeles for a wedding celebration. We highly recommend it!
