Shane and Josh’s Avalon Palm Springs wedding was planned and designed by our good friend and often collaborator Joey Lizotte from Artisan Events. Although not a new property, the Avalon Hotel Palm Springs is new to the Palm Springs hotel scene. Most recently the Viceroy Palm Springs, the hotel changed ownership in March 2015. Former founder of Viceroy Hotels, Brad Korzen, took over the hotel with his new brand Proper Hospitality. Other than that, its still the same Kelly Wistler designed charming boutique hotel.
For Shane and Josh, it was the perfect place to celebrate their love over the weekend. Friends and family came in from all of the United States and beyond. Things started off with an epic pool party which continued into the wedding party. During cocktail hour guests were entertained by the Aqualillies. The Aqualillies is a retro-themed synchronized swimming group which may be one of the most interesting forms of wedding entertainment. Their wedding portraits were photographed offsite near the infamous Palm Springs windmills which meet you on your way into town.
