This is one of my favorite shots of the A Capella group, Cloud 9, from UC Santa Cruz. In what David calls one of the most moving moments of his life, Rebecca walked down the aisle to them singing "In My Life" by the Beatles. When we were married they sang "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce. It was the coolest ceremony thing I have seen in awhile.

Rebecca and Davids destination wedding was celebrated at the Cass House Inn a beautiful and luxurious inn that was originally built in 1867, and restored in 2007. Located in Cayucos, a tiny seaside village about ½ hour from Morro Bay on Californias Central Coast, the Cass House only has 5 rooms and sits directly across the ocean. The chef, Jensen Lorenzen, grows all of their produce on the grounds, and it was among the lettuces and other various vegetables where Rebecca and David were married and where they and their guests dined and danced. This wedding was fun, fun and fun!

There are so many amazing details: Rebeccas handmade fabric bouquet, Davids map cufflinks, Chinese lanterns, smores, the A Capella group, Daniel Boswell from Imagique same-day video edit, and much more.

A note on their portraiture: Allie and I scouted the area hours before the wedding, and astonishingly found the most dramatic landscape 15 minutes inland and away from the ocean. Down a little country road we found the most amazing yellow rolling hills of farmland and grazing pastures. Even though some of the scenes were littered with tarantula nests, David and Rebecca trusted us and went for it, and the pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined.

Finally, if you haven’t been to David’s blog – you must go now. It is absolutely hilarious. It is called Temple of Groom, and in his words: “The only blog written by a straight guy who actually cares about planning his own wedding.” David is a super talented and funny writer and his wedding planning stories are to die for.
