When you walk into Cicada in downtown Los Angeles, you are immediately transported back to that golden age of Hollywood. Its no wonder that our couple chose this as their wedding venue. They both epitomize the grace and glamor that was the hallmark of that time. Look how beautiful they both are! Their day started at Millennium Biltmore Hotel where they were whisked away in a vintage Bentley for portraits around downtown. Later at Cicada, they were married in the middle, surrounded by their family and friends.
When we first met our bride she told us, My ideal wedding is extravagant and over the top. We are having an adult-only evening full of glamor with very tall centerpieces, lovely linens and a spectacular cake. Our priority is for everyone to have a great time. As you can see from the photos, the evening wildly exceeded her expectations.
A technical note on Cicada: it is one of the more challenging venues to photograph because it is so dark. There are no white ceilings or walls to bounce light off of. In most of the photographs below we are using several off-camera flashes to achieve the lighting that you see below.
