Wailea, Maui in Hawaii
Matt and Heather were married at a private beachfront home in Wailea on the island of Maui in Hawaii. They were originally going to be married at the Hoku Lani Estate next to the famous Keawalai Church (built in 1855 and made of 3 foot thick lava rock) but were forced to relocate venues just weeks before their wedding! Luckily they pulled some strings and secured a friend’s beautiful home, directly on the beach.
Heather converted to Matthew’s faith, Judaism, and the Ketubah signing was one of the most memorable we have seen. The Rabbi is an accomplished musician and incorporated the guitar into the entire 30-minute long ritual. Their entire wedding party and immediate family members were in the room and everyone held each other and sung and moved in rhythm. It was breathtaking. So, was their ceremony, so was their celebration, so were they!
