SILVER LAKE ENGAGEMENT
A neighborhood in Los Angeles
known for its restaurants and hipster hangouts.
One of my favorite places in Los Angeles is the Sunset Junction area of Silver Lake. It is eclectic and artsy, peppered with some of the areas best restaurants, and most interesting shops: Intelligentsia, Cheese Store of Silver Lake, Secret Headquarters (comic books) and Café Stella to name a few. In fact Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers has a music school here called the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music. Megan and David also share a love for the area, so it was the perfect choice for this eclectic and artsy couple. Allie and I cannot wait to see what they have planned for their Halloween wedding at SmogShoppe!
An interesting note on this shoot: we ran out of daylight pretty quick so we had a lot of fun playing with off-camera light, and high ISO / really low aperture combinations as you will see toward the end of the post.
