This South Asian Sangeet was held at the Carondelet in downtown Los Angeles. The Carondelet is one of the more unique event venues in all of Los Angeles. Originally constructed as an Italian style villa in 1928, the house features an open floor plan with exposed brick, hardwood floors and tons of natural light. The owners have decorated the house with lots of interesting furniture and antiques. Outside the Carondelet feels like you are in the French Quarter in New Orleans. For their Carondelet Sangeet portraits, our couple preferred to shoot most of the pictures in western attire. A Sangeet is a traditional Indian ceremony which is more or less a big party thrown the night before the wedding day. There are traditional dance performances from family and friends, and lots of yummy Indian food. The following photos are some of our favorite portraits. The event was planned by our good friend, Mili Shah of Planning Elegance.
