If you follow our work, it is fairly evident that we love to shoot downtown LA engagement sessions. First, Los Angeles has lots of interesting architecture like the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the DWP Building, the Bradbury, and more. All are amazing to photograph. Better, we love the ever changing landscape of street art, graffiti and colored walls. These kaleidoscope of colors make unique backdrops that are often gone within a few weeks.
When planning our engagements, we love trying to find areas in downtown that match our couple’s energy and esthetic. Aida and Ali and fun, super in love and down to earth. They are also sophisticated and love to dress up. To start, we chose a really colorful street art area for their casual look. Generally people are more comfortable in these clothes, so we concentrated on capturing lots of genuine interaction and moments between Aida and Ali. Later we had them dress up and we moved to the DWP Building. The clean lines and view of Downtown LA are the perfect backdrop for this look.
