A Langham Pasadena wedding is a wedding at a venue that is well-steeped in California history. The Langham Huntington Pasadena, as it is officially known, was built over 100 years ago in 1907. According to the local newspaper, the Pasadena Star News, the hotel was famous at the time for its ornate ballrooms, classic architecture and the wooden footbridge. In 1926, the hotel built the first ever outdoor Olympic size swimming pool in California. Perhaps most interesting, back then the Pasadena surrounding areas did not have any buildings with enough room for meetings. So the Huntington (as it was known then) was the hub of Pasadena social life. Think about that. For 110 years, this building was host to countless social celebrations: parties, balls, weddings and more. And just a few months ago, all these decades later, the Langham played host to Jinal and Rajiv’s incredible South Asian wedding celebration.
Planned and designed by Neda Shah from Blue Lotus Events with Shawna Yamamoto Event Design on florals and decor, this 400 guest wedding was simply beautiful. The ceremony was held outside in the Horseshoe Garden. Shawna and her team built a white runway and stage which was one of the most stunning wedding entrances we have seen. The mandaap (Indian wedding ceremony stage) was filled with yellow flowers which went perfectly with the natural bougainvillea in the garden. The reception was held in the historic Huntington Ballroom. Guests dined under a canopy of real trees and chandeliers. Again, another incredible job by Shawna Yamamoto and her team. This Langham Pasadena wedding was incredible, and so were Jinal and Rajiv and their entire family and friends! Enjoy all of these beautiful Langham wedding photos.
